Jeff Ladlow

Jeff Ladlow is a Sydney based artist who first settled there over thirty years ago when he emigrated from Lincolnshire in England.

He has had an active interest in studying art for most of his adult life and had been fortunate to visit a good number of the world’s most famous art galleries. Two of his favorite galleries are the Musee d’Orsay in Paris and The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York, which collectively exhibits most of his favorite artists.

Jeff lives in an outer suburb of Sydney on a “bush block” and is attracted to the Australian Native landscape, which is literally on his doorstep.

When Jeff retired in 2005 he threw himself into his passion for art and began painting the images of his local landscapes and in so doing began developing a style of his own.

All his works are in Acrylic paint, a medium that he believes gives him the required freedom of expression.

He has recently began producing and exhibiting several abstract works one of which was judged to be the winner in the category of the Best Acrylic/Oil entry at the Winmalee Autumn Artfest Art Prize of 2012.
